Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday gave a statement about eradicating the Naxalites from the state of Chhattisgarh by March 31,2026. The pledge was made during the president’s police color award function in Raipur, at the parade ground Shah stated that when Chhattisgarh gets free of Naxalism the entire country will get rid of the menace spouted by them.

Shah also praised the Chhattisgarh police for their outstanding work over the years in combating Naxalism. The police achieved remarkable success, including neutralizing 287 Naxalites, arresting 1000, and facilitating 837 surrenders. The police are making a comprehensive strategy to eliminate Naxalism, which includes a rehabilitation program for former Naxalites. This venture aims to provide a supportive framework for those who wish to renounce violence and reintegrate into mainstream society.

Amit Shah expressed his confidence in making India naxal-free, crediting the progress so far to the strong leadership of Prime Minister Narender Modi. By making this commitment the home minister has sent a clear warning to Naxalites and reassured the Chhattisgarh people that the government is fully committed to restoring peace and stability in the region.
